ESCP Business School, a leading European institution, is setting bold plans in motion—expanding its global reach and strengthening its academic presence in India. The school has confirmed a two-fold strategy: launching new schools focused on technology and governance, and building partnerships with top Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Strengthening Global and Indian Connections
As part of its new 2026–2030 Bold & United strategy, ESCP will open two new academic units:
The School of Technology (opening in 2027) will focus on digital skills like AI, big data, and emerging technologies.
The School of Governance (launching in 2029) will specialize in public policy, international law, geopolitics, and strategy.

These initiatives are backed by a €320 million investment to support new courses, cutting-edge research, and sustainable campus development across Europe. The school also plans to launch a Global Master in Management, multiple new MSc programs—including one focused on the business of space exploration—and expand its scholarship fund.
India in Focus: IIT Collaborations Gaining Momentum
Alongside this European expansion, ESCP is giving high priority to India—a country that now ranks as its third-largest source of international students. More than 600 Indian students are currently enrolled in its programs.

To deepen its footprint, ESCP is in advanced talks with IIT Bombay and IIT Madras to build long-term academic collaborations. These partnerships would include:
Dual degrees combining management and technology
Student and faculty exchange programs
Joint research in innovation, AI, and sustainability
Executive education courses designed for Indian industry professionals
According to insiders, initial meetings have already taken place and both parties are optimistic about a formal agreement by late 2025.

A History of India Collaboration
This move isn’t new for ESCP. The school’s connection with India began in 1985 with IIM Ahmedabad. Today, it actively works with IIMs in Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Kozhikode, and SPJIMR, among others.
By combining European business education with India’s tech talent, ESCP hopes to create global leaders ready for the future.

“Our 2026–2030 strategic plan is not just a roadmap—it is a collective manifesto shaped by the voices of thousands across our community,” said Léon Laulusa, Executive President and Dean of ESCP.
By 2030, ESCP aims to enroll over 12,000 students from 150+ countries, maintain full gender parity among its 300 professors, and stay in the top five of the Financial Times European Business School rankings.
